Kaiser Ridge eco stay offers a different way to experience the Barossa Valley. Surrounded by 32 hectares of natural bushland, our three secluded tiny houses are completely off-grid, giving you the chance to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy the peace and privacy of the landscape.
Being off-grid doesn’t mean giving up comfort. Each tiny house is self-contained and thoughtfully equipped for a relaxing stay, with solar power, rainwater, a private kitchen and bathroom, heating and cooling, Wi-Fi and everything you need to settle in. Our aim is simple: to tread lightly on the land while creating a place where you can genuinely switch off and recharge.
Sustainability is at the heart of Kaiser Ridge eco stay. Each of our three tiny houses operates completely off-grid, using solar power for electricity, rainwater and waterless composting toilets to reduce our impact on the surrounding environment.
We ask guests to be mindful of water and energy use during their stay, but off-grid living here is designed to feel comfortable and easy. You can enjoy the warmth of the wood fire, prepare meals in your fully equipped kitchen, take a hot shower and settle into your tiny house knowing that your stay is powered by a lighter way of living.
For us, sustainability is not about going without. It is about making thoughtful choices that allow us to share this beautiful piece of the Barossa while caring for the land around us.
With 32 hectares of natural bushland to explore, there is plenty of space to wander and discover Kaiser Ridge at your own pace. Follow the tracks through the property, find a quiet place to sit, take in the valley views or watch the light change across the landscape as the sun goes down.
Keep an eye out for kangaroos and native birdlife along the way. Sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones: walking without a destination, finding a beautiful viewpoint or simply stopping for a while and listening to the bush.
Each tiny house is fully self-contained, with a private kitchen and bathroom, heating and cooling, linen and towels, natural bathroom products and the essentials you need for a comfortable stay.
Wi-Fi is available in all three tiny houses, along with a Bose speaker for your favourite music or podcasts. You won’t find a television, though. We think the changing valley views, wildlife, star-filled skies and crackle of the fire make pretty good entertainment.
You’ll find tea, coffee and basic pantry staples waiting for you, along with a sample of premium local tawny port to enjoy during your stay. Simply bring the food you’d like to cook, or make the most of the wonderful wineries, restaurants and local produce the Barossa Valley is known for.
Kaiser Ridge eco stay is just 12 minutes from Tanunda, with the final part of your journey taking you along Rifle Range Road, an unsealed country road through the Barossa Ranges.
The road is suitable for standard vehicles, so a four-wheel drive is not required. Take your time, enjoy the scenery and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. Detailed directions are provided before your stay to make finding your tiny house easy.
Life at Kaiser Ridge moves at a different pace. Wake to the sounds of the bush, enjoy your morning coffee on the deck, watch kangaroos move through the landscape or sit outside as the sun disappears behind the valley.
Whether you spend your days exploring the Barossa or simply enjoying the peace and privacy of your tiny house, we hope your stay gives you something increasingly hard to find: time to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with the people, places and moments that fill your cup.
